Major
Capital Grant Announced
July 14, 2009
Tuesday's
in July have been good to the Prince. Today we are proud to
announce a new grant from
Maryland Heritage Areas Authority - the parent organization
of Stories of the Chesapeake.
The Prince Theatre Foundation will
receive a $100,000 capital grant from MHAA. The grant is
restricted to the Prince's current Capital Campaign for the
renovation of the theater's original lobby. This grant
pushes us to within just a few thousand dollars of our $1
million goal. More than 180 individuals and small businesses
have pledged support to make this Capital Campaign a
success. This grant will allow us to stay on track to design
a new lobby and plan for construction in the late spring and
summer of 2010.
We are grateful to Elizabeth Watson at
Stories of the Chesapeake for her unending support of our
programs and to all involves at MHAA and Eastern Shore
Heritaeg Area's Inc. And to all of YOU for securing the
future of this community treasure. So come on - JOIN US - at
your community theatre.
